Easley woman publishes ‘Working Moms’ book

Kimberly Chastain, a licensed marriage and family therapist in Easley, has written a book, “The Voices of Christian Working Moms.”

The book shares the results of a survey of more than 2,100 Christian moms who work. “Often, Christian working moms in church feel isolated and left out of women’s ministries,” Chastain said. “One of the interesting statistics from the survey is 53 percent of Christian working moms serve in their churches, but only 7.5 percent of the women surveyed feel the church supports them in their role as a working mom.

Chastain is a member of Pickens First Baptist Church.
