Robert Jackson is recipient of 2013 E.A. McDowell Award

The Christian Life and Public Affairs Committee has recognized Robert Jackson as the recipient of the 2013 E.A. McDowell Award. A member of First Baptist Church, Boiling Springs, Jackson serves as a family practice doctor in Chesnee and is actively involved in his community and church.

Jackson was instrumental in organizing and giving leadership to the Carolina Crisis Pregnancy Center in Spartanburg County, and continues to be a strong advocate of pregnancy care centers. Because of his love for the Lord, level of personal surrender to the ministry and zeal for evangelism, Jackson has turned his medical practice into a biblical counseling center and place of healing for physically and spiritually hurting people in the community. Jackson is also known as a mentor and disciples men in his home through morning Bible study and prayer times. In his church, Jackson has served as a Bible study teacher and chief encourager for other church leaders, and has also been involved in missions, deacon ministry leadership and church planting.

Jackson and his wife, Carlotta, have nine children.
