Fousek retires after 40-year pastoral ministry

Ron Fousek retired Feb. 2 after serving more than four decades as a pastor.

He completed his service at Eureka Baptist Church in Anderson, where he was pastor for eight and a half years.

Previously, he pastored Shady Grove and Whitefield Baptist churches in Belton and Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hendersonville, N.C.

Fousek serves on the Executive Board of the South Carolina Baptist Convention and is a professor at Covington Theological Seminary’s Anderson campus.

He will be available for pulpit supply in retirement.

Fousek and his wife, Jewel, live in Williamston. They have a married son and two grandchildren.
