Tommy Kelly was honored May 4 for 20 years of service as pastor of First Baptist Church, Varnville. Church attendance has tripled during Kelly’s tenure, and he helped lead a nearby church, Harmony Baptist, to reopen after it had been closed for many years. Kelly currently serves as first vice president of the South Carolina Baptist Convention.
