For many years, the South Carolina Baptist Singing Churchmen have inspired church congregations and convention attendees with glorious sounds of musical praise to our Lord. Their vast variety of musical styles has allowed them to engage diverse audiences, including musical missions all over the globe.

Realizing the need to attract younger members, the Singing Churchmen have begun a scholarship program. Already this year, three new members have been given modest financial aid to offset some of the costs of membership.

We hope South Carolina Baptists will support this mission to share the gospel in song by making a contribution to the scholarship fund. Persons, churches, or choirs who wish to donate to help maintain the long-term vitality of the Singing Churchmen should mail their contributions to Mark Powers, 190 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, S.C., 29210. Checks should be made to the Baptist Foundation, marked for “Singing Churchmen Scholarship Fund.” Contributions are tax-deductible. Your gift will be one that will “keep on giving.”
