The 2010 season is officially in the record book as the most successful season in North Greenville history. The Crusaders finished the season 46-14, including their 8-0 record in the postseason. Four of North Greenville’s postseason wins came in the team’s last at-bat. The eight wins also included six come-from-behind victories.

The NCCAA World Series MVP award went to North Greenville’s Adam Taylor of Laurens, who accounted for two of North Greenville’s three walk-off hits. Head coach Travis Henson was named the NCCAA Division 1 Coach of the Year.

The Greenville County Council declared June 15 “North Greenville University Baseball Day.” The citation stated: “The NGU baseball team has brought positive national attention to South Carolina and Greenville County with their outstanding play and great character – which should serve as an inspiration to all citizens of South Carolina, North Greenville alumni, NGU faculty and staff, and current and future NGU students.”
