The Baptist Courier

Ralph Carter, pastor of Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Taylors, recently sat down with Courier editor Rudy Gray to talk about serving this year as president of the South Carolina Baptist Convention.

In the interview, Carter also previews the upcoming SCBC annual meeting, which will be held Nov. 12 and 13 at Shandon Baptist Church in Columbia.

Carter says the highlight of his term as president came in early 2013 when the Executive Board of the SCBC was able to forward a supplemental check of $416,000 to the International Mission Board.

He also shared a personal story about interacting with other churches in his community, an experience that led Carter to choose “Better Together” as the theme for this year’s annual meeting.
