Hampton Irvin Perry, 85, of Andrews, died Feb. 13, 2014.

Born April 12, 1928, in Cedar Springs, Ga., he served two years at Bethesda Naval Hospital during World War II. He later graduated from Furman University. Perry attended Southeastern Seminary and served as pastor of many Southern Baptist churches in South Carolina during a 55-year span. He also taught elementary school and high school English and math.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Vera Bryan Perry, three children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
