Red Bank celebrates 230th anniversary

Red Bank Baptist Church in Saluda, founded in 1784, recently celebrated its 230th anniversary. The current sanctuary, built in 1911, is home to such Southern Baptist notables as R.G. Lee and Ellis Fuller. Pictured are former pastor Dan Griffin and his wife, Edith. Griffin, who was guest speaker at the anniversary celebration, was pastor at Red Bank from 1980-1987, and led the church through its bicentennial celebration in 1984.
