LiveIT wristbands have young fans

When Charlene Bowling opened a small package from the South Carolina Baptist Convention a few weeks ago, she immediately thought of her granddaughters. The secretary at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Easley had received sample LiveIT wristbands sent to church staff members, and she saw the accompanying brochure that read, “Wear it, use it, LiveIT.”

“My two granddaughters were staying with us that weekend, and I thought they would love the brightly colored wristbands,” Bowling said. The children, ages 6 and 8, did like them and had a special request.

“One granddaughter said she would really like a pink one, so I reached out to the convention office to ask for one in that color,” she said. The request was granted, and now the girls wear their bracelets constantly. Their mother reports that they have shown them to everyone at their local baseball field. One even likes to wear it on her ankle.

Bowling also talked with her grandchildren about what the wristbands mean. They understand that “LiveIT” is meant to be a message to others that they have Jesus in their hearts and that they can use the wristband to share the gospel.

Churches may purchase wristbands online at www.scbaptist.org/wristband. They come in assorted colors at the bulk rate of $20.00 per 50 bands. LiveIT lapel pins are also available online and may be purchased in multiples of 10.
