Clarence Larry Freeman, 84, of Taylors, died July 18, 2014.

Born in Pickens, he was pastor of nine churches and 16 interims. He was a former president of the South Carolina Baptist Convention and served on the SCBC General Board (now Executive Board). He graduated from North Greenville College, Furman University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Kathryn Guest Freeman, two sons, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
