LEXINGTON BAPTIST Church, Lexington, will host The Voice of The Martyrs Southeast Regional Conference, “Surrounding Them with Love,” Oct. 21-22, featuring three Christians from nations where religious freedom is restricted.
Tommy Zurowski, founder of Global Response Network, which ministers to the needs of persecuted Christians, will be a keynote speaker, along with Getaneh Getaneh of Ethiopia, who was imprisoned and suffered for his faith when communism came to his country; Robak Hoospianmer, who was jailed for preaching the gospel in his native Iran; and Kamil Solomon of Egypt, who was arrested in 1993 for his evangelistic activities.
Also speaking will be VOM mission representatives Tim and Darcie Gill, who have traveled to China, Sudan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cuba, Egypt, Myanmar, Laos, Turkey, Bangladesh, and other countries.
