Residents at Bethea Baptist Retirement Community formed an assembly line March 22 to stuff envelopes containing information and promotional material for the Mother’s Day Offering. Packets were sent to all the South Carolina Baptist churches. Last year, South Carolina Baptists gave more than $1.2 million to stop the sale of the retirement communities. “We are not out of the woods yet, and need a good offering again this year to strengthen the ministry and to continue to move forward in serving our aging population,” said Jamie Conner, director of marketing and admissions at Bethea.
