Forestville Baptist Church, Greenville, celebrated the dedication of its new 1,200-seat worship center and preschool building May 21.

Former pastor Marshall Fagg, now director of evangelism for the South Carolina Baptist Convention, was keynote speaker, and contemporary Christian singer Clay Crosse was guest soloist.
Casting the vision for the new auditorium several years ago, congregational leaders realized that before they could build the new worship center, they first needed a new educational building for their preschool and student ministries. Land was donated by a friend of the church, and the $1.3 million project was completed and paid for in only three years.
The church then faced the obstacle of relocating Old McElhaney Road so that the congregation would not have to cross the road for worship.

A capital stewardship campaign provided faith promises from the congregation exceeding the original goal, and construction began on the new worship center, which also includes additional education and preschool facilities.
The $4 million worship center features?a waterfall baptistry, a speaker?array, a Yamaha digital mixing console?for?concert-grade audio, cameras, and high-definition video projectors with three screens. The center also contains 10 plasma displays throughout the hallways and welcome area, and 32 computer- controlled?theatrical lighting fixtures.
