Jason WillisJASON WILLIS has been called as senior pastor of Town Creek Baptist Church, Aiken. He is a graduate of Shorter College and Covington Seminary. For the past eight years, he has served as senior pastor of Live Oak Baptist Church in Cave Spring, Ga. Willis and his wife Heather began their ministry at Town Creek July 30.
Philip BlankenshipPHILIP BLANKENSHIP began duties Aug. 20 as pastor of Blaney Baptist Church, Elgin. A native of Greenville, he is a graduate of North Greenville University and Southern Baptist Seminary. He previously was pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Great Falls, where he had served since December 2001. Blankenship and his wife Mikki, a graduate of Clemson University, have two children, Seth, 3, and Abigail, 2.
STEVE FORRESTER was ordained to the ministry Aug. 27 at El Bethel Baptist Church, Greer Association. Forrester is a long-time member of El Bethel.
Ridge Baptist Church, Screven Association, celebrated the 20th anniversary of pastor BOBBY EUBANKS Aug. 6. During his tenure, the church has added a new worship center and created a Christian school that goes from birth-12th grade. A fellowship dinner was held in his honor, and he was given a plaque and other gifts. The church also honored SHIRLEY LeBLEAU for 20 years of service as administrative assistant.
Larry BaldwinLARRY BALDWIN is the new pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Williamston. A graduate of Southwestern Baptist Seminary, he has served as minister of students at Calvary Baptist Church, Williamston; minister of youth and children at Bahama Baptist Church in Bahama N.C.; and associate pastor/youth minister at Zion Hill Baptist in Centralia, Ill. He and his wife Kim have two daughters, Jessica and Alli.
Johnnie BaileyJOHNNIE BAILEY will begin duties Oct. 4 as pastor of Norway Baptist Church, Orangeburg-Calhoun Association. A native of Decatur, Ala., he is a graduate of Campbellsville University, Southern Baptist Seminary and the University of Alabama at Huntsville. He has served as a pastor for 38 years. Bailey and his wife Vicki have two grown sons and two grandchildren.
Mike BowenMIKE BOWEN began duties Aug. 23 as pastor at Friendship Baptist Church, Honea Path. He previously served as pastor of Pine Level Church, Early Branch. Bowen and his wife Jennifer have a daughter, Alley.
