Paul B. Nix Sr., 82, of Rock Hill, a retired South Carolina Baptist pastor, died Aug. 19.
Nix was the former pastor of Mountain Creek Baptist Church, Anderson; Elko Baptist Church, Barnwell; Secona Baptist Church, Pickens; and Washington Street Baptist Church, Winnsboro, where he served until his retirement.
He was a U.S. Marine during World War II. He was a graduate of Furman University and Southern Seminary.
Survivors include his wife, Sophie Lattimore Nix, three children, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
