Kenneth A. Fugate

Kenneth A. Fugate, 66, of Easley, a pastor and church planter with the North American Mission Board, died Jan. 4, 2007, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Waynesville, N.C., he was a graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute.

Prior to his latest appointment, he served many churches in both Carolinas. His South Carolina pastorates included White Plains Baptist Church, Gaffney; Rehoboth Baptist Church, Piedmont; Smith Grove Baptist Church, Liberty; Six & Twenty Baptist Church, Pendleton; Hillcrest Baptist Church, Laurens; and Red Path Baptist Church, Rock Hill. At the time of his death, he was pastoring Black River Native American Baptist Church in Orangeburg.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Plemmons Fugate, three daughters and three grandchildren.
