Please God, not man

The Baptist Courier

We are being told that we who believe in the traditional are dying because we won’t change.

We won’t change because we like to sing “Amazing Grace” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” We believe that “The Old Rugged Cross” has made a difference in us. We believe the church should preach the word.

We believe that we should please God and not man. We believe the house of God should be a worship center and not an entertainment center. We believe that the church should not conform to this world or fit in with the mode of this world.

It is the traditional that has brought us where we are and not the contemporary.

God hath chosen the foolishness of preaching, not music, that men might be saved. Maybe these two groups should consider going together down to the “potter’s house.”
