Phil Cooper is a cabinet maker from Greenville. He started singing publicly about six years ago at his home church, Edgewood Baptist. Deciding what type of Christian music to sing was easy for him: Southern gospel. Cooper has sung in worship services, weddings, funerals, pageants, plays and festivals in South Carolina and North Carolina. When God opened the door for him to record a CD, Cooper began the task of selecting the songs. He chose 10 of his favorites for “God’s Lead,” which was released on May 3, 2007.
