Description
High Calling, based in upstate South Carolina, performs original songs that cover a broad range of musical styles including Southern gospel, bluegrass and contemporary. Band members hail from several churches, including North Spartanburg First Baptist; Nazareth Baptist, Blacksburg; Palmetto Baptist, Boiling Springs; Buffalo Baptist, Blacksburg; and Cudd Memorial Baptist, Boiling Springs. “From the message of the songs to the notes we sing and play,” according to a description on High Calling’s Web site, “it has been God’s work and His blessings that have allowed us the privilege and opportunity of relaying His message. Our focus and desire as a ministry, as well as individuals, is to serve Jesus Christ through our God-given abilities and talents. Through this, we pray that others will come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior.
