CP: 2.59% ahead of last year

Year-to-date contributions through the Southern Baptist Convention’s Cooperative Program are 2.6 percent ahead of the same time frame in 2006. As of April 30, the year-to-date total of $120,638,766 for CP missions is $3,043,100 ahead of the $117,595,665 received at the same point in 2006. For the month, receipts of $18,562,120 were 8.2 percent, or $1,410,646, ahead of the $17,151,474 received in April 2006. Designated giving of $143,114,624 for the same year-to-date period is 8.5 percent, or $11,241,952, above gifts of $131,872,672 received at this point last year. The $25,724,069 in designated gifts received last month is $8,752,749 above the $16,971,319 received in April 2006, an increase of 51.6 percent.

Woman’s Missionary Union now offers print-on-demand Bible studies to help small groups in churches increase in biblical and missional understanding of their responsibility and opportunities for sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.
