Mike Minter, Tommy Bowden, Spencer Tillman, and Mike Gottfried are on the line-up of sports and business speakers for “In the Zone,” a new interdenominational, sports-themed, men’s ministry event slated for Greenville’s Bi-Lo Center, June 9.
Minter, former NFL player with the Carolina Panthers; Bowden, head football coach at Clemson University; Tillman, former NFL player for the Houston Oilers and San Francisco 49ers and sports commentator; and Gottfried, ESPN college football analyst and former NCAA football coach, will join a team of top area business leaders in engaging men in spiritual discussions on intersecting life and faith.
By addressing issues related to common challenges that men face, such as balancing family and work, leading spiritually, relationships, fatherhood and integrity, the Saturday morning events are intended to help men discover solutions and redefine the perceptions of success, manhood and what it means to be a Christian in society.
In the Zone – an organization founded by Joe Pettigrew of Memphis, Tenn., a leading authority on issues affecting senior executives, and Kyle Rote Jr., a professional soccer league scoring champion and author – has scheduled similar events in eight other states.
