Rudy Gray, pastor of Utica Baptist Church in Seneca, has been elected chairman of trustees for New Orleans Baptist Seminary.

Gray, who has served the Seneca congregation for the past 12 years, was named chairman at the seminary’s spring meeting. He is in the second year of a five-year term on the board, and is in his second consecutive term as a trustee. He has served on the board’s executive committee every year he has been a trustee.
Gray, who was pastor of Roebuck Baptist Church for 14 years before going to Utica, will complete at the end of 2007 a term as trustee of Anderson University. He also has been a trustee of The Baptist Courier and is a columnist for the newspaper.
The Seneca pastor also was a parliamentarian for last week’s called session of the South Carolina Baptist Convention, to elect Jim Austin as new executive director-treasurer.
