Danny Hester began duties as associate over co-ed ministries and mission action for South Carolina Woman’s Missionary Union in May.
Danny HesterHester came to WMU from the Illinois Baptist State Association, where he served as a North American Mission Board-appointed missionary in regional volunteer coordinating. In his previous position, he assisted churches in developing mission strategies in their area and other parts of the country and world.?
In his new position, Hester says he wants to see individuals embrace a missional worldview in any place God may have them.
“In truth, we as believers have all been given a?mission because?Christ has called and sent us into the world – we are Christ’s ambassadors sent to build relationship bridges of peace and hope to lost people,” he said.
“WMU is fortunate to have Danny join our staff. He comes to us with a great deal of experience in missions and mobilizing others to be involved in missions,” said Evelyn Blount, South Carolina Woman’s Missionary Union executive director.
?”My passion is helping churches develop missions-focused believers?who ‘get the mission’ and act on it ‘as they are going’ through their daily lives.?Our mission field is wherever we are and wherever lost people exist,” said Hester.
