Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Buffalo, celebrated its 150th anniversary May 27 along with the 82nd annual homecoming, which has been celebrated the fourth Sunday in May since 1925. Charles Randolph Pettit Sr. celebrated his fifth anniversary as pastor on June 16. Pettit also serves as moderator of Union County Baptist Association. During the past five years, an AWANA program has been started; membership has grown, with 52 new members by letter or statement and 41 by profession of faith; and a 14,000-square-foot ministry center has been constructed.
