Study lacking

The Baptist Courier

The LifeWay study on the use of private prayer language is lacking some important information. The study indicated that of all the SBC pastors sampled, 62 percent understand “tongues” to mean the “God-given ability to speak another language.” The definition suggested in this case meant a known foreign language a person had not previously been able to speak. The report on the study made no mention of how the remaining 38 percent of SBC pastors understand “tongues.” Can LifeWay furnish your readers with the figures on the 38 percent of SBC pastors who do not subscribe to the above understanding of “tongues”?
