Tom Sees, pastor of Smyrna Baptist Church, Smyrna, and his wife Shirley led a missions team in April to the Santa Cruz area of Jamaica. Team members delivered a washing machine they purchased to the infirmary in Santa Cruz. They also installed ceiling fans throughout the complex to comfort the residents in the extreme heat. Sees will return to Santa Cruz this summer to lead a team of 22 to conduct VBS and other ministries.

For the first time in several years, Friendship Baptist Church, Honea Path, set several records for its Vacation Bible School. The church had an attendance of 258 people, 20 children made professions of faith, and $1,400 was collected for missions. Pastor Mike Bowen declared that these blessings came as a result of much prayer and the faithfulness of God’s people.
