Campbell, who was born in Beaufort, S.C., and was born again in 1979, was once a lead singer in a rock band and led a rock-and-roll lifestyle. “When I accepted Jesus as my Savior,” Campbell said, “it was more like a collision than a meeting, but that’s what it took to get my attention.” “Homebound Prodigal” is Campbell’s second album of original material. It examines what it means to separated from God in every way, to experience His grace, and finally to begin the prodigal’s journey homeward.
