North Greenville University dedicated the Roper Mountain House, a new home for 10 male resident students, Aug. 29. The house will help the university in accommodating approximately 1,400 residents of the 2,001 students enrolled this fall at the northern Greenville county campus. It was the former parsonage and church offices for Roper Mountain Baptist Church, Greenville.

“I commend the wisdom and vision of the leadership at Roper Mountain Baptist Church to partner with North Greenville University by donating their parsonage to the institution to be used as residential housing for male students,” said Steve Crouse, vice president for campus ministries, at the dedication ceremony. “The church’s generosity will play a part in the life of each student who lives here. Some of them will receive Christ as their Savior and Lord, others will grow in their faith. Some will go on to serve the Lord through missions and ministry. The church will be a part of all of their lives.”
“I trust the Lord will use the house for the purpose of training young men to expand the kingdom of God,” said pastor Ron Lewis, of Roper Mountain.
