Craigan Blankenship

CRAIGAN BLANKENSHIP has been called as pastor by Bethany Baptist Church, Westville, where he has been serving as interim for almost a year. He is a graduate of Charleston Southern University and attends Southeastern Baptist Seminary. Blankenship, who is a third-generation preacher, was a youth pastor for six years before moving to the Kershaw area.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Earl Phillips

EARL PHILLIPS was honored on his retirement as minister of music at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Easley, where he has served since 1973. Other churches he has served since he began his ministry in 1959 include Dunean Baptist, Greenville; Calvary Hill Baptist, Pickens; and two churches in Tennessee. The congregation hosted a luncheon, presenting a gift certificate and monetary gift to Phillips and flowers to his wife Marjorie.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

William Crews

WILLIAM CREWS was ordained to the ministry on Nov. 4 by First Baptist Church, Fernandina Beach, Fla., where he is minister of church administration. Crews, a native of Yemassee and Pine Level Baptist Church, Grays, is a graduate of Clemson, and is enrolled in seminary at Luther Rice University. He and his wife Jane have two children.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Brian Timney

BRIAN TIMNEY has joined the staff of First Baptist Church, Surfside Beach, as minister of students. He formerly served at First Baptist, Springfield; Southside Baptist, Florence; and Rocky Knoll Baptist, Walhalla. He is a graduate of Charleston Southern University and Southeastern Baptist Seminary. He and his wife Kendra have two daughters, Tammy, 15, and Mahala, 7 months.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Otis Kelly

OTIS KELLY was honored Sept. 23 by Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Florence, for his long and distinguished service as a deacon. The title of deacon emeritus was bestowed on him. Kelly joined Ridgecrest in 1975, and has served in many positions. He is an ordained lay minister and has served many churches as a supply pastor.
