Ron Taylor was elected as the new director of missions for Pee Dee Baptist Association during its fall meeting.
Ron TaylorTaylor, who begins duties in January, has served as pastor of First Baptist Church, Clio, since 2003. Previously, he was principal at Latta High School, 1995-2003, and at Palmetto Junior High School, Mullins, 1993-1995. A graduate of Wingate College, Appalachian State University and the University of South Carolina, Taylor also has been an assistant principal at Latta Middle School and an English teacher at Latta High School.
From 1970-2003, Taylor’s home church was Latta Baptist, where he has served as a Sunday school teacher and deacon.
He and his wife Brenda have two daughters, Niki Harris, of Columbia, and Stephani, an elementary school teacher in Latta.
