Cal Robertson has been appointed as assistant professor of biblical studies at Gardner-Webb University Divinity School in Boiling Springs, N.C.
Cal RobertsonRobertson is the son of Margaret and Ted Robertson of Denmark. He is former director of missions and she served as associational secretary for Barnwell-Bamberg Baptist Association. They retired in 2000.
A native of Montmorenci and former member of First Baptist Church, Denmark, Cal Robertson recently served four years as lecturer in Old Testament at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
A graduate of the College of Charleston, Southern Baptist Seminary and Harvard Divinity School, Robertson was the editorial services director for the Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture while working toward his doctorate at Drew University.
Robertson was associate pastor of East Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky., and First Baptist Church, Bristol, Tenn. He and his wife Cathy have two sons, Warren and Samuel.
