First Baptist Church, North Charleston, will host “Come Together Sunday” Feb. 17. “CTS” is a twofold effort to both bring back long-absent members as well as visit residents in neighborhoods close to the church.
Housing projects are underway or in the planning stages that will see construction of hundreds of new houses within two to three miles of the church.
Door-to-door visitation is planned on the three Saturdays just before CTS. Also, there are many long-absent resident members of First Baptist who will receive a letter from pastor Daniel Johnston, as well as be contacted personally by a telephone marathon committee.
The schedule for the day will start with the usual Sunday school and morning worship service followed by a dinner. The day will conclude with a concert by George Frink at 1:30 p.m.
