Airport Baptist Church, Greer, held a mortgage burning Dec. 30, 2007, to celebrate its recent debt retirement. Participants included Don Limoges, chairman of deacons; Mike Bowling, pastor; Kenneth Martin, vice chairman of deacons; and Linda Eudy, church treasurer. The congregation moved from its Airport Road location near Haywood Road in Greenville five years ago.

On Jan. 20, the congregation of Norway Baptist Church, Norway, presented pastor Johnnie Ray Bailey a plaque: “In recognition of 40 years of faithful and loving ministry to God and His people,” dated Jan. 4. Bailey accepted the call to the Norway church in October 2006. He and his wife Vicki have two sons and one grandson.
