The collegiate ministry team from Crowfield Baptist Church, Goose Creek, visited the campus of Charleston Southern University recently to provide students with water, candy, and study packets for their upcoming final exams. “The outreach of Crowfield Baptist is an effort to connect with CSU students,” said Jimmy Bryant, minister of education and missions at Crowfield. The outreach was warmly received, said Bob Ratliff, CSU dean of students. “We encourage all our students to become involved in a local congregation, and we are very appreciative of Crowfield Baptist collegiate ministries for coming over and ministering to our students,” he said. Ratliff was minister of education and administration at Crowfield before coming to CSU eight years ago. Bryant organized the event, along with fellow member Elizabeth Bell. More than 250 study packets and water bottles were given to CSU students.
