Upstate Evangelism Conference set for Aug. 3-6

Three South Carolina pastors and a Spartanburg evangelist are among the program personalities slated for the annual Upstate Evangelism Conference at Northbrook Baptist Church, Boiling Springs, Aug. 3-6.

Convention president Eddie Leopard of Millbrook Baptist Church, Aiken, will preach on Monday evening; and vocational evangelist Tim Fowler will speak on Tuesday evening. Hank Williams of First Baptist Church, Boiling Springs, and Don Wilton of First Baptist Church, Spartanburg, will bring the closing messages on Wednesday evening. All services begin at 6:30 p.m.

Co-sponsored by cooperating churches in the Upstate, the conference will also feature addresses by former Southern Baptist Convention president Bobby Welch of Daytona Beach, Fla.; Greg Mathis of Hendersonville, N.C., and Herb Reavis of North Jacksonville, Fla.

Special music will feature Suzanne and Joe Hopkins, former dean of the Petrie School of Music at Converse College who now serves in a similar capacity with the Samford University School of Performing Arts.
