Ron Lynch, pastor of Siloam Baptist Church, Powdersville, will be a candidate for president of the South Carolina Baptist Pastor’s Conference when the organization convenes prior to the two-day annual meeting of the South Carolina Baptist Convention in November.

Tom Tucker, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Rock Hill, confirmed to the Courier that he will nominate Lynch. The Pastor’s Conference will be held Nov. 10 at Trinity Baptist Church, Cayce. (Click for details.)
Lynch is the current vice president of the Pastor’s Conference. He holds master’s and doctor’s divinity degrees from Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia, Ga.
Before entering an itinerant ministry in 1994, Lynch was a pastor for more than 20 years at churches in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Alabama. His palmetto state pastorates included Midway Baptist Church, Clover; Second Baptist Church, Chester; Spears Creek Baptist Church, Columbia; and Varennes Heights Baptist Church, Anderson.
He has preached in revival meetings throughout the world and led in the establishment of Life Out of Death Ministries in Charlotte, N.C.
He and his wife, Judy, have five children.
