Sligh debuted his latest album, “Running Back To You,” to the NGU students where his first single, “Empty Me,” climbed to number five on the Christian Radio Weekly chart and number seven on the Billboard chart. On his first tour as a headliner, Sligh hopes that he can reach his fans like never before.

Sligh said he likes to think that his songs are poetry set to music and says that he has not forgotten his Christian roots. “Running Back to You” is the best selling album on iTunes.

“I’m a believer who writes about life, and my faith is a huge part of my life,” he stated.

He says he keeps in touch with his American Idol buddies and still gets support from his curly wig-wearing fan club.

“It’s good to be back in Greenville and hanging out at North Greenville,” Sligh said. “There’s no place like home.”
