Trent McLaughlin, right, pastor of Freedom Outreach Church, Cassatt, was recognized as the South Carolina Baptist Convention’s Outstanding Small Pastor of the Year at the annual meeting of the Kershaw Baptist Association Oct. 28 at Wateree Baptist Church in Camden. Making the presentation is Jack Kyzer, the bi-vocational ministry consultant for the associational services and pastoral ministries group of the SCBC. McLaughlin was nominated for the award by Bill Drees, director of missions for Kershaw Association.
