Richland Springs Baptist Church, Saluda, held “Old Fashion Day” Nov. 2 in conjunction with the “Richland Creek Antique Power Association Fall Festival.”
The “Tractor Show” is attended by several thousand people each year. On Nov. 1, Richland Springs had a booth at the show where candy, gum, water, gospel tracts, and Bibles were given out. Then on Sunday, a caravan of old cars, tractors, and wagons made the mile trip from Richland Creek Farms to the church. After the worship service, dinner was provided by the members of the church.
According to Steve Jones, pastor of Richland Springs, 350 people attended the Old Fashion Day service this year. “This is a wonderful outreach for our church,” said Jones. “The love of Jesus is being shown to the folks who are part of the tractor show, and the gospel message is presented to those who attend the worship service.”
