South Carolinians reaching South Asia for God’s glory

The 19th Gujarat International Kite Festival will be held Jan. 12-14, 2009, in Ahmedabad, India. The city shuts down as people from all walks of life fill the skies with kites of every size, shape and color. Last year, Scott Mackey of Simpsonville, S.C., above, brought his kite to India to take part in the festival. During his visit, he also had opportunity to meet the lost in the city, pray for them, and share the love of Jesus with them. This year, people from all over the world will come once again to fly kites, battle in the skies, and experience Indian culture. Please pray that Western and Indian Christians celebrating the festival this January will also be intentional about sharing the love of Jesus, and that many Indians will for the first time trust him fully as their Savior and Lord.
