Economy Watch: South Carolina WMU anticipates ‘high level of service’

The Baptist Courier

South Carolina Woman’s Missionary Union, auxiliary to the South Carolina Baptist Convention, does not anticipate having to cut employee benefits or implement staff layoffs or furloughs, said Laurie Register, executive director-treasurer.

“South Carolina WMU is finding ways to cut costs while maintaining a high level of service to our churches,” she said. “In these critical times, one of our priorities is equipping our organizations and churches to minister to those in their communities affected by this economic crisis.”
