I encourage churches to teach Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. Our church, Redd’s Branch Baptist Church, Aiken, completed our first class the week after Christmas 2008. If taught in consecutive weeks, a class would finish in 13 weeks (91 days).
Other churches?that either plan to begin teaching or?have recently begun teaching FPU are: Millbrook Baptist Church, Aiken; Cedar Creek Church, Aiken; and Ridge Spring Baptist Church, Ridge Spring.
Redd’s Branch Baptist Church had several couples attend the first teaching of FPU, including one couple from Cedar Creek Church who simply could not wait until their church started teaching the course in January 2009. All of the Redd’s Branch attendees said the same thing at our graduation: We wished we had done this much earlier in our lives. One young mother with two toddlers said all pastors should make it a requirement to complete FPU before he agrees to marry them.
