Taylors Free Clinic to host fundraiser

The Baptist Courier

The Taylors Free Medical Clinic is hosting a benefit on April 4 at the Greenville Downtown Jetport. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will include a barbecue dinner and bluegrass music.

The clinic opened in 2005 to serve people in the Upstate. TFMC exists to fill the community need for free medical services, including pharmaceuticals and specialty clinics. Since opening, the clinic has screened and serviced more than 2,200 patients.

There are more than 200 volunteers, representing 16 churches and the community-at-large, who serve the clinic. Five churches provide funding, including Taylors First, Lee Road and Hampton Heights Baptist, along with Aldersgate and St. Mark’s United Methodist. Money to support the clinic also comes from foundations.

Tickets for the event are $20 and can be purchased by calling (864) 244-1134.
