Ridgeland church holds day of prayer

The Baptist Courier

Faith Baptist Church, Ridgeland, recently joined other Americans in prayer for the nation and its leaders. Faith Baptist organized prayer around the flagpoles of the Jasper County Courthouse and Ridgeland Town Hall. Each group had nine participants, for a total of 18, which included sheriff Greg Jenkins and councilman Henry Etheridge. Other participants included the church congregation, police officers and county sheriff’s deputies. The event concluded with a prayer service held at the church. Musical performances were presented by Robin Malphrus and the interpretive movement team, Hands of Faith. A devotional was given by pastor and sheriff Greg Jenkins, who taught from the book of Daniel about the importance of continuance in prayer.
