The service will feature speaker Calvin Miller, academician and an accomplished author with more than 30 books to his credit, including “Star Riders of Ren,” “The Taste of Joy,” “Transcendental Hesitation” and the best-selling “Singer Trilogy.” His current book, “Life is Mostly Edges,” is his autobiography.

The master of ministry degree at AU was created last year with the arrival of Michael Duduit and the announcement of the largest gift in AU history last spring from the estate of David T. Clamp. The $8 million gift will help fulfill the dream of Clamp, who desired to see a graduate school of ministry at Anderson University.

Online classes will begin Aug. 10; campus classes will begin Aug. 11.

The consecration service will last approximately one hour. According to university president Evans Whitaker, “This special service will be a time when we celebrate the establishment of the new school and dedicate it to the glory of God.”

The service is free and open to the public. – AU
