Charles Moore

CHARLES MOORE was called as pastor by Steep Bottom Baptist Church, Estill, June 7. Moore had been serving as interim at Steep Bottom since July 2008. He received his bachelor of ministry degree from Clear Creek Baptist College in Pineville, Ky., in 1989. He also attended Southeastern Seminary and has served churches in Kentucky, North Carolina and South Carolina. He and his wife Sally are Hampton County natives. They have two children and six grandchildren.

 

 

 

 

 

 

TOMMY HOWARD recently retired as pastor of Crescent Hill Baptist Church, Pickens, after 35 years of ministry. Other Upstate pastorates he has held include Keowee Baptist, Six Mile; Oolenoy Baptist, Pickens; and Slater Baptist. A graduate of Dan Greer Bible Institute, Howard earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Southern Baptist Institute of Biblical Studies. He and his wife Ann, parents of two children and five grandchildren, will continue to reside in Pickens.

 

Ray Lowe

RAY LOWE has been called as pastor of Wolf Pond Baptist Church, Pageland. A graduate of North Carolina State University and Southeastern Baptist Seminary, Lowe previously served as pastor of Bahama Baptist Church in Bahama, N.C. He and his wife Robin have two sons, Jonathan and Michael.

 

 

 

 

 

 

PASTOR MITCH GAMBRELL and his family were honored June 14 following the Sunday evening service at Big Creek Baptist Church, Williamston, with a church-wide reception, commemorating 20 years of ministry. He was presented a plaque expressing appreciation and love for his dedicated Christian service to the church and the community.
