As the Courier reported so well, Garden City Baptist Church suffered a devastating fire on Sunday morning, June 28.
I want to express our sincere appreciation to the countless folks who have called and written to us in the wake of the fire. The expressions of Christian love and care have been heartening.
As always, God has been good. He has graciously provided ways for us to continue worshiping and serving our Savior as we deal with the aftermath of the fire and plan to rebuild.
God also used the fire and the extensive local news media coverage to give us an unusual opportunity to talk about Jesus Christ through the secular media. We thank God for allowing us to witness publicly.
