
The children’s ministry of Southside Baptist Church, Spartanburg, recently spent an evening packing boxes of food for the food pantry of Greater Spartanburg Ministries as part of their outreach to the community. The children, who assisted Kevin Koger, director of Greater Spartanburg Ministries, assembled a total of 90 boxes for distribution to the elderly, low income, unemployed, and others in crisis situations. Beverly Smith leads the children’s ministry at Southside Baptist.

The Joline Tuten Multifocus Group of First Baptist Church, North Augusta, recently prepared a prayer quilt for North American missionary Barbara Decker, who serves in Mead, Okla. Each square on the quilt represents a prayer for Decker in support of her work with Lake Texoma Baptist Ministries.

Jacksonboro Baptist Church, Colleton Baptist Association, recently expanded its social hall and held a dedication at its Aug. 5 Sunday lunch.
