I am a bi-vocational minister living in the Greenville area, who has difficulty attending the convention regardless of its location. This year I was able to do something I had never been able to do before – I participated in the convention by Internet.
When I visited the SCBC Web site and saw it was accessible, I was ecstatic. I love South Carolina Baptists and pray daily for the convention’s effectiveness within the kingdom of God. I enjoy hearing what God is doing through his people throughout the state and around the world.
Usually I do not have the opportunity to browse the Internet until the late evening because of my work schedule, but seven months ago the economic situation gave me more time to fill my days in other ways, so I was able to listen firsthand of how God is using his people in South Carolina.
I want to thank whoever is responsible for making it possible for people in my circumstances to share in the convention. God’s blessings!
